After
60+ years, it's time somebody revealed what really happened in
Roswell, New Mexico, in July '47, and I guess I'm elected.
An engine malfunction forced my ship down on that sheep ranch. Nervous
about all those sheep staring at my claws, I ran to a nearby town and hid
in a dark movie theater, just in time to see Flash Gordon strangle an
extra-terrestrial. Yikes! I should have phoned home then, but
I didn't, I stuck around for "The Purple Monster Strikes." Double
yikes!
There were a lot of movies that portrayed extra-terrestrials
as monsters --- "War of the Worlds," "Invaders From Mars," "Invasion of the
Saucer Men," etc. In "The Day the Earth Stood Still," an E.T. on a
mission of peace was shot as he stepped off his ship. In "The Thing,"
an E.T. was shot, fried, dismembered, and electrocuted.
Today, we're portrayed as bugs. Bugs you want to step on. Anything
you don't understand, you step on.
You Earthlings are nuts!
