A
rich gold mine faces closure if construction work is completed on a nearby
power dam. A man named Collins (J. Carrol Naish) appears to be the
construction boss, but he is secretly pulling strings for The Black Ace,
leader of a mysterious group of terrorists attacking the dam.
Wait! Was that a scream we heard?
Horrors! Our heroine, Dorothy Gray (Lucille Browne) is locked in a
closet with The Black Ace. A secret passageway leads out through a fireplace,
but another secret passageway leads to . . . (gasp) Doctor John Flint (Robert
Frazer) who has been hiding radio broadcasting equipment.
Is the good doctor the mysterious Black Ace?
Wait! Another passageway revealed to us leads to a shifty-eyed character
named Johnson (Purnell Pratt). Is he The Black Ace?
"The Black Ace calling Station A. The Black Ace calling Station A.
Fred Cromwell (Bob Steele) is on his way to the dam, see that he doesn't
arrive."
Meanwhile, Fred's buddy, Bill "Jelly Bean" Cook (Big Boy Williams) is on
his way to the mine.
"The Black Ace calling Station B. The Black Ace calling Station B.
Fred's pal is holding our men prisoner. Go and free them."
Who is this dastardly villain who calls himself The Black Ace? And
just how far will he go to stop construction on that dam?
Fellas and girls, you are in for a startling surprise!
